Food anti-waste law, now we in Italy too have one that makes it easier to donate unsold food to shops, but not only. Halve waste in a decade, if before the Anti-waste law this mission statement could have sounded like a cabaret joke, today it is an achievable goal. It is estimated that 7 million meals could be distributed every day, halving waste in 10 years, if only all public businesses in the country donate their surpluses.

Food Waste Law: stop bureaucracy

Changing things in Italy, in fact, must necessarily change from one stop to unnecessary bureaucracy. For example, the prior declaration to be made 5 days before delivery, a document that is no longer necessary. Thanks to Anti-waste law a transport document, or an equivalent document, is enough to render the traceable product, or an official summary at the end of the month, only if the donation has a value greater than 15,000 euros.

Remove these as others bureaucratic obstacles we expect it to be a way to ensure that the donation of surpluses quickly and forever becomes structural and, if possible, daily, by both businesses but also by supermarkets, restaurants and businesses, for example. Everyone can do their part.

Food anti-waste law for packaging

One aspect that is important has been included in the Antisprec Lawo Food is that of restaurant leftovers, recoverable thanks to intelligent and practical packaging and family bag. In some countries it even becomes trendy, we talk about the fashion of dog bag, of the family bag, or whatever you need, and it is good that this fashion also arrives in Italy.

There Anti-waste law it has done its part by allocating funds of one million each to two funds that will take care of their own innovative and anti-waste packaging and to sensitize restaurants and fast food restaurants about Family bags.
