Home remedies for dust: some tricks to remove dust easily. How to make a natural powder eater with ingredients readily available at home.

Home sweet home, but how many little pitfalls can it hide? Dust, for example, is an element that affects the comfort and health of the family. Dusting the house is not only an aesthetic question, but also a need for health. Recent research conducted by the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has revealed that house dust contains a cocktail of dangerous chemicals that can put people who breathe them at risk.

There is no way to get rid of the dust completely. However, with cleaning, and with suitable products, we can effectively remove dust in the house. On the market we find several specific products against dust but they can be harmful to humans more than the dust itself, due to the presence of irritants contained in them.

Better to evaluate green solutions, healthier for the environment and for ourselves. On this page we will show you several effective methods to eliminate dust without having to resort to the classic dust eaters on the market.

Baby wipes

Baby wipes are excellent allies to remove dust residues that remain, for example, between the keys of the computer keyboard, on wooden furniture or other objects in the house. Use the wipes to remove dry, sticky stains.

White wine vinegar

A solution of white wine vinegar and water is one of the best alternatives to eliminate dust and disinfect surfaces. This product is known as a powerful natural antibacterial which, after application, alters the environments that germs need to reproduce.

Sodium bicarbonate

If you add a tablespoon of baking soda to warm water, you will get an environmentally friendly cleaner to remove dirt, stains and bacteria. Transfer the mixture into a bottle equipped with a nebulizer and spray it on the surfaces in question, then remove the excess with a microfiber cloth.

Canvas gloves

Canvas gloves are ideal for removing dust from delicate objects such as candlesticks, lamps, glass ornaments and other items that are used to decorate the home. Dust adheres more easily to this material than a normal cloth.

Do you find it difficult to remove dust from corners or small spaces in the house? Take a makeup or paint brush and use it to remove dust in the most difficult places.

If you stick a pole into an old pair of socks, you will be able to remove the dust that accumulates under wooden furniture and other appliances.

Microfiber cloth

A microfiber cloth is the best option for cleaning television and computer screens that emit a great deal of static electricity.

Keep in mind that on these surfaces you cannot spray detergent products directly, it is better to spray them on the cloth itself before dusting.

Kitchen tongs

The kitchen tongs you use to turn and grab food can help you remove dust from shutters or in small spaces.

Wrap the pliers with a soft cloth, fix it with clothespins and rub them on the surfaces you want to clean.

A toothbrush you no longer use can help you remove dust from windows, furniture corners, or keys.

Cotton swab

If you have cotton swabs available, you can use them differently than usual to remove dirt from corners and other hard-to-access places.

Baking soda and lemon

Prepare a thick paste of baking soda and lemon to clean and polish the walls and shower rails.

Natural detergent for cleaning wooden furniture

A lot of dust and debris usually accumulates on wooden furniture. Since it is a very delicate material that tends to become opaque, we recommend this special cleaner to disinfect wooden surfaces and give them a flawless appearance.
